
Band Bio
The Route 8 Band is a talented eclectic mix of seasoned musicians from the Oil City/Franklin area who truly enjoy playing and performing. The band has been playing venues all across northwestern PA for years including outdoor festivals, campgrounds, community events, social clubs, bars, casinos, and even a rodeo or two. This band is easy to work with, fun, and dependable, meaning they will show up and get the job done. The set list is a fun mix of country, rock, and blues that will appeal to a variety of audiences.
Their unique sound fuses tight 4-part harmonies with smooth guitar riffs and rich lead vocals by veteran member Rick Sabousky of OC. Bill Warren, on drums, has toured up and down the east coast as a full-time musician and has recorded in Nashville. His endless energy and passion for playing is obvious. Joe McLaughlin, of Franklin, has been playing bass and singing in various bands his whole life and has no plans to ever stop. John Omiatek, of OC, has been entertaining audiences for years with his superb piano skills as his fingers fly across the keys. Newest member, Suzi Beach, a music teacher from Franklin, is no stranger to the stage having appeared in numerous musical theatre productions and singing in local venues for years. Her high energy and lead vocals will have you dancing and singing along.
